The cross section is stiffness automaticly reduced to 1/2 in the begining.

The recommended value is 0.50 (see EN 1998-1, Section 4.3.1 (7)).

How is this parameter taken into account during the calculation. Is the cross section stiffness automaticly reduced to 1/2 in the begining or is this factor included somehow else?
